“International Neurolaw -A Comparative Analysis”
Very excited (and apprehensive) about this one. Here is the first effort that I know of that has gathered reports from 16 countries, regarding the current state of legal approaches surrounding the issues and use, of neuroscientific knowledge…and what I’m sure is a precursor to regulation talks…before we even know what we are talking about.

Each chapter aims to survey the relevant legal order’s landscape both for the generation of neuroscientific knowledge (i.e. probands’ rights, the relationship between research participant and researcher, the problem of incidental findings etc) and for the usage of neuroscientific knowledge. This book aims to give a first and lasting impetus for further and – given thedimension of the issue – much-needed internationalization of the discussion. (via)

So, yeah. I ordered it.  A brief summary, by country with a side of bacon? Coming right up.

…my future PhD thesis could’ve been on this…
..I get it now - I should’ve skipped a few grades if I wanted to be the “first”..
Darn it.
